Thinking about starting automating all your Native Campaigns with LandingTrack and Taboola?

The power of automation between Taboola and LandingTrack will boost your daily activity, increase your CTR, save time and definitely money.

Automation has come to help all of us to be more efficient in our daily work. Bots are actually made to help us, to do the hard task and make our work easier. The integration between Taboola and LandingTrack will definitely make a difference in your Native Campaigns.

STEP 1 — Adding Taboola as Traffic Source

Go to Traffic Source Tab and click on > +Connect new Source; from the list of options select > Integrated DPSs

Look for Taboola In order to connect with them, you will need a total of 2 fields to be filled.

1- Your Taboola client identification

2- Your Taboola secret identification

¿Where can you find those?

Simply, you will need to mail to your Taboola AM to ask for the API connection. They will reply to you with the following details

Back on LandingTrack, let’s connect both Accounts.

After saving LandingTrack will ask you to check again your credentials and the save

¿Green Check¡ means we are fully Integrated with Taboola but, We will suggest you add some more steps such us — URL Tokens and Outgoing Postback

Now that we are synchronized with Taboola let’s have a look on button> Edit

The following Parameters and Tokens will be provided by default for each Taboola URL :

  • s={site} → the one need it in order to track the site
  • cmp={campaignid} →Campaign ID, as registered in their system
  • pid={click_id}→Unique ClickID for conversions
  • b={campaign_item_id}→To track your Banners

STEP 2 — Creating a campaign (Dimension) on LandingTrack

Remember you have three different ways to create a dimension.

1- From an existing Flow see how

2- From Menu Offerssee how

3- From Dimension Menu: see bellow

Click on button > New Dimension

You will be redirected to our Dimension creator.

First, we will recommend you to click on the pencil right bellow the bucket to add your Campaign Name, at the same time you will see displayed all your offers with the name and status (right side), click on the left arrow button to add them to your Dimension.

As you can see, now we have added two offer on our dimension and if we like to add more we just need to click on the left arrow next to the offer “Play Sweeptakes US_cpa”

Getting the URL for Taboola:

Click on button > + Get Campaign URL

Select Taboola as your traffic source, tick Encrypt Portal Name, and Banner Token, then select your Domain and your Traffic Segment;

Finally, copy the Campaign Name and URL we provide you with:

IMPORTANT: Copy the Full name that we provide you with and the Full URL:

REMEMBER: Use the Dimension Name and LandingTrack URL for Taboola Campaign

STEP 3 — Creating a campaign on Taboola

Log in to your Taboola Account and check on the menu side Campaign Management. Click on it.

Right after that click on button > New Campaign

First, we should name our Campaign: Remember to add our Dimension Name like the example below.

Write your Branding Text and select your Marketing Objective among Taboola options:

The next block will be dedicated to your Targets: Country — Platform — OS — Connection Type and your Blacklist.

Right after that will be the time for your Audience.

Audience: Targeting audiences across audience types are linked using “AND” logic (i.e. My Audiences AND Marketplace Audiences). Users need to be a part of both audiences to be targeted.<br>Targeting more audiences within the same targeting type (i.e. Marketplace Audiences) are linked using “OR” logic. Users need to be a part of at least one of the audiences to be targeted. When activating an audience, your CPC will be inclusive of any data costs.

My audience: Here you can activate the audiences that you have created. These include audiences created from your website pixel or from customer data you have onboarded. Choosing ‘Include’ will target people that belong to an audience. Choosing ‘Exclude’ will suppress people that belong to an audience.

Lookalike: Lookalike audiences have 5 different similarity levels ranging from the top 5% to the top 25%. The top 5% are users that most resemble your seed file, meaning highest performance but lower scale. Top 25% resemble your seed file, but with a wider scale.
We recommend starting with the top 20% as default and increasing or reducing similarity according to performance.

Campaign Clickers: Retarget people who clicked on your campaigns. Adding more campaigns will expand your audience to include more people.

Market Place Audience: Select from readily-available audience segments generated from Taboola data or from trusted data providers.

Let’s move to the budget to set our CPC bid, and Spending Limit. Right after that, you can add your Campaign URL.

Once you have finished, save and Taboola will show to you a summary of your campaign before moving forward (pretty useful)

Once you have confirmed click on Submit Campaign.

Next step will be adding our inventory (creativities and Text)

Add your URL (with https recommended)

As you might have several creativities, keep adding them, later you can modify your Ad and text without problem.

Once you have finished click on button > Finish

By the time you have finished, check your Dimension > You will see already your Taboola Campaign with the status: PENDING! Job done buddy.
