Thinking about starting automating all your Native Campaigns with LandingTrack and Outbrain?

Automation has come to help all of us to be more efficient in our daily work. Bots are actually made to help us, to do the hard task and make our work easier. The integration between Outbrain and LandingTrack will definitely make a difference in your Marketing Campaigns.

STEP 1 — Adding Outbrain as Traffic Source

Go to Traffic Source Tab and click on > +Connect new Source; from the list of options select > Integrated DPSs

Look for Outbrain In order to connect with them, you will need a total of 2 fields to be filled.

1- Your Outbrain email for the field User

2- Your Outbrain Password for the field Password

Right after clicking connect, you will need an extra step:

Click on check API

Verify that all your details are correct, no space etc.. and click again on Check API button

Click on Check API

Green Check¡ means we are fully Integrated with Outbrain but, We will suggest you add some more steps like — URL Tokens and Outgoing Postback

Now that we are synchronized with Outbrain let’s have a look on > Edit button.

The following Parameters and Tokens will be provided by default for each Outbrain URL :


  • s={{publisher_id}}— The one need it in order to track the site
  • pid={{ob_click_id}} → Tracking conversions.
  • cmp={{campaign_id}}— Campaign ID, as registered in their system
  • &b={{promoted_link_id}} →Tracking Banners

STEP 2 — Creating a campaign (Dimension) on LandingTrack

Remember you have three different ways to create a dimension.

1- From an existing Flow see how

2- From Menu Offerssee how

3- From Dimension Menu: see bellow

Click on button > New Dimension

You will be redirected to our Dimension creator.

First, we will recommend you to click on the pencil right bellow the bucket to add your Campaign Name, at the same time you will see displayed all your offers with the name and status (right side), click on the left arrow button to add them to your Dimension.

As you can see, now we have added two offer on our dimension and if we like to add more we just need to click on the left arrow next to the offer “Play Sweeptakes US_cpa”

Get Campaign URL:

As you may know already, LandingTrack can optimize the traffic base on different rules, here its when automation comes into action :

Getting the URL for Outbrain:

Click on button > + Get Campaign URL

Select Outbrain as your traffic source, tick Encrypt Portal Name, and Banner Token, then select your Domain and your Traffic Segment;

Finally, copy the Campaign Name and URL we provide you with:

IMPORTANT: Copy the Full name that we provide you with and the Full URL:

Example: Dimension 5e60d8c724dbc55f8f440a42

REMEMBER: Use the Dimension Name and LandingTrack URL for Outbrain Campaign

STEP 3 — Creating a campaign on Outbrain

Log in on your Outbrain Account, it is time to start automating all your Native Campaigns and Outbrain is a good choice to start with.

On the menu side → Campaigns and right in front you have the button > Add Campaign.

First, we should name our Campaign, as you know it is mandatory to use our Campaign name.

Then we select our Campaign Objective and our budget.

Campaign Objective:

Awareness: Increase brand awareness by maximizing views and clicks of your content.

Traffic: Drive traffic to your website by maximizing clicks from audiences likely to engage with your content.

App installs: Increase app installs by maximizing clicks of your content.

Conversions: Drive conversions by optimizing conversions from your target audience.

Select your Targets: Country

Placements & Track:

For the Suffix part, → you can add should add from your Campaign URL the following part:

Full Campaign URLhttps://automationforgood.com/l.php?trf=m&p=outbrain&d=5e2f0b4824dbc578cf563f62&s={{publisher_id}}&pid={{ob_click_id}}&cmp={{campaign_id}}&b={{promoted_link_id}}

Suffix parts={{publisher_id}}&pid={{ob_click_id}}&cmp={{campaign_id}}&b={{promoted_link_id}}

After that, you can save and the campaign will go for approval but we still need to add our Content!

Create Your Content

For the URL you should add the following part from the Campaign URL:

Full Campaign URLhttps://automationforgood.com/l.php?trf=m&p=outbrain&d=5e2f0b4824dbc578cf563f62&s={{publisher_id}}&pid={{ob_click_id}}&cmp={{campaign_id}}&b={{promoted_link_id}}

Add your website and then your Tittles for each Ad.

Once you have finished just click on the button > Launch Campaign.

Here it is our Campaign, waiting for its approval, it might take some time so we will recommend you to sync the Campaign on the meantime or check how it will look once it’s life; To do so just click on your Campaign name:

Back to LandingTrack, we should sync the campaign before it starts to send traffic. To do so we should go to Menu side > Traffic Source > Click on Outbrain. Then button Refresh. This action will send a call to your Outbrain Account and ask for all your Campaigns.

As soon as you see your New Campaign on the List we are ready to go, no need to worry as LandingTrack will take care of your optimization rules.

Everything has been set up already, our advice — Chill, relax and wait for the traffic to start.
