LandingTrack Flows: Template and Custom — Part 1

How to redirect every single click to the right Advertiser Offer? how to control every single redirection that passes through LandingTrack?

1- Flows (Funnel):

Flow is like a Huge Road where all your traffic will go through it; Creating Paths will be like building rails to redirect the traffic accordingly. This will give you the ability to control all your traffic, every single click. We have two different ways of creating a Flow:

  • Template Flow: You can set up Dimensions from a template flow or attached it to an existing Dimension.

Note: A dimension with a Template flow cannot be modified directly from the Dimension, it has to be done from its template.

  • Custom Flow: Works directly on Dimension level and is completely independent of other flows or Dimensions.

Note: you can modify this flow anytime you want from the Dimension

Step 1. Creating a Template Flow:

Click on the menu side> Flows and press the button > +Create Flow

On the right side of your screen, you will see a form to be filled with Name and Description. Save after that.

Now we are going to build our Flow, in order to do that click on the name of your Flow.

By clicking on the name you will access to its profile. Let’ first check those 4 Points to understand what they do.

1- Create a New Path: The first thing to be done here is adding offers to your Path, so simply click on button > Create New Path.

You can add offers into the Path or Select an Existing flow (you have previously created) and add it as a Path.

We have selected Offers Type, so we just need to select the offers we would like to have for this Flow.

Once you have selected them, Save and immediately you will see your New Path with the offers selected.

Let’ explain each new button we have for this new view.

Left side on the header we have the Path Status — by default always Disable.

Add Filters and Action buttons followed by “(100)”(weight of the path) and The path’s name“New Test Path

So let’s click on Add Filters as we should start setting up all our targets. Remember that your filters can be a positive or negative match.

On the right side of the screen, we will find all the options available to add our targets. First, we should Enable the path (if you need it), we can also change the name of it and finally the weight.

What is the weight for?

The weight is the priority of the path in order to recieved traffic. A path that contains the same number of filters as other Paths can have the same weight.

Example:

Path 1- filtering the US — Android — Chrome and = Weight for each 100.

Path 2 filtering UK — Android — Samsung Browser = Weight for each 100.

A path that has more filters than another path should have always a minimum difference of 10 points.

Example:

1- Priority.

Path 1 →filtering the US — Android — Chrome — In-App ( this will make 4 targets so Weight 110 )

2- Priority.

Path 2 → filtering UK — Android — Samsung Browser (this will make 3 targets so Weight 110 )

3- Priority.

Path 3 →filtering NL— Android (this will make 2 targets so Weight 90)

As you can see on LandingTrack can apply multiple filters per Path — by Parameters of your Campaign URL, if Its In-app traffic or not — Operating system and so on. We recommend you to start playing with all the filters.

Select your Browser, your Sub_Id/Site_ID and your IP Ranges.

Create positive or negative filters by Apps, Language, Country or Carriers.

Once you have made your filters and save it will look like this:

Let’s have a look at the button Actions, in order to make it work or perform any action we should select first at least one offer from the path.

Add Offers to Path: This one is to add New Offers for the actual Path

Add Landers to Offers: This option is for you to add Prelandings/Landers to your offers.

Remove Offers from Path: Remove the selected offer from the Path

Duplicate this Path: Duplicate the entire Path.

Remove This Path: Remove the whole Path (double confirmation need it)

We had duplicated our main Path and added more targets, reducing the pool of offers and raising the weight to 110 to give more priority.

Now if we would like to add also a Lander to one of the offers we just need to tick the offer and click on Actions > Add Lander to Offers,

Once you have finished adding Landers to your offer/s — we can check the wheel option next to it

The wheel function is to gives you some control over your Landers. You can disable the Direct option so traffic will be going only to your Landers and not directly to your Offer.

In addition, you can configure the weight of each lander deciding at any moment how to distribute the traffic among your Landers.

Now that we have added all our targets to our Paths, we should check the following section:

FALLBACK → What will happen if we get clicks that are not matching our Targets? we should redirect them somewhere right?

and here it comes the Default path named: FALLBACK with a pre-define weight of -1. To swallow all those clicks which are not matching the Targets of our Paths.

For this section, we always recommend to set up a global offer — Smartlink. Let’s check the Action Button.

We can add/remove Offers and add Landers/remove them

Once you have selected the offers > SAVE.

Now we can be 100% sure that if we receive any click which is not fitting our Path Filters/Targets will be monetise with our Fallback.

2- Test Path

This feature has been added for you to check where the click will be rediret within your Path. Simply provide an IP and a User Agent.

3- Add Offers To Path

This Feature is to add new Offers to your existing Paths. Select the path you would like to add a new Offer and then select the offer/S

4- Broken Paths

Perhaps you made a small mistake so we have the Feature Broken Paths for you to check if you made a mistake when building your entire Flow.
