As we have seen in previous episodes, TOKENS are usually dynamic values that will be replaced when a visitor lands on your URL.

So let's make it simple. Below you will find all TOKENS available for LandingTrack.

We provide as Parameters with simple and logic namings, you must replace them by the ones your advertiser says.

ie: clicki_id &pub_id etc..

The following TOKENS are the one you to work with:

  • CLICK ID→{{PIXEL}} — This is actually the clickid TOKEN of LandingTrack
  • PUB ID →{{SOURCE}} — This will be sharing with your Advertiser your Traffic Source subid/ zoneid / placement_id etc…: pub_id={{PUBID}}

  • TRAFFIC PORTAL →{{PORTAL}} — This will be sharing with your Advertiser your Traffic Source Name →&traffic_portal={{PORTAL}}
  • DIMENSION ID →{{DIMENSION}} — This will be sharing with your Advertiser your Dimension ID →&dimension_id={{DIMENSION}}
  • BID →This will be sharing with your Advertiser the bid/Cost of each visit →&bid={{BID}}
  • POSTBACK ID →This will be sharing with your Advertiser the Postback ID where the click came from →&postback_id={{PID}}
  • DOMAIN → This will be sharing with your Advertiser the domain where the click came from →&domain={{DOMAIN}}
  • APP BUNDLE →{{BUNDLE}} — This will be sharing with your Advertiser the name of the app where you had purchased the traffic →&app_bundle={{BUNDLE}}
  • KEYWORD →{{KEYWORD}} — This will be sharing with your Advertiser your Traffic Source Keyword — →&keyword={{KEYWORD}}
  • REFERRER →{{REFERER}} — This will be sharing with your Advertiser the referrer where the click came from — →&referer={{REFERER}}

REMEMBER: The Parameters are LandingTrack suggestions — YOU must ask to your Advertiser /Client / Affiliate Network.

How to set up your Advertiser URL?

This is just an example of how your Advertiser material/offer / LP should look:

Advertiser gives you the following URL: https://mynewoffer.com/?click_id={clickid}&subid={subid}

You : First and must, its to replace their {Tokens} by LandingTrack ones:

https://mynewoffer.com/?click_id={{PIXEL}}&subid={{SOURCE}}

And that would be all.

— Custom Offer Tokens: Matching your Traffic Source.

How to pass information to our Advertiser /Client / Affiliate Network. from our Traffic Source?* (read below) we can use the following options on the offer URL on LandingTrack

{{DATA1}} — It can be an option available on the DSP/Traffic Source: Example: [country] — [city] — [connection_type] — [browser] etc…

{{DATA2}} — It can be any of the options available on the DSP/Traffic Source

{{DATA3}} — It can be any of the options on the DSP/Traffic Source

{{DATA4}} — It can be any of the options on the DSP/Traffic Source

……………..

*What if our advertiser needs more information to be transmitted through the TOKEN on the offer URL?

In case they need to receive more information they should provide to your Offer URL more Parameters, so LandingTrack can pass that information back to your Advertiser.

IE: https://mynewoffer.com/?click_id={{PIXEL}}&subid={{PUBID}}&domain={domain}&app_name={app_name}&dev={device_name}&geo={geo}&browser={browser}

Also, you must be sure that your Traffic Source will be sharing that information back to you — check the example below for PopAds Token set up:

For the example above we have the following {Tokens} placed on our Campaign URL:

{DEVICENAME} — {COUNTRY} — {BROWSERNAME} — {OSNAME}

With the following LandingTrack Paramaters:

d1={DEVICENAME}

d2= {COUNTRY}

d3={BROWSERNAME}

d4={OSNAME}

So how do we pass all those tokens to our Advertiser?

Here is again our Advertiser URL and we just simply need to add the Parameters of LandingTrack set on your Traffic source Campaign.

https://mynewoffer.com/?click_id={{PIXEL}}&subid={{PUBID}}&domain={{DOMAIN}}&app_name={{BUNDLE}}&dev={{DATA1}}&geo={{DATA2}}&browser={{DATA3}}

click_id={{PIXEL}} — Token available at Offers Panel: “9820h87304jh40840”

&subid={{PUBID}} — Token available at Offers Panel: “01290”

&domain={{DOMAIN}} — Token available at Offers Panel: “unkown”

&app_name={{BUNDLE}} — Token available at Offers Panel: “com.facebook.katana”

&dev={{DATA2}} — Token coming from LandingTrack Parameter on Traffic Sources : “nokia”

&geo={{DATA3}} — Token coming from LandingTrack Parameter on Traffic Sources: “brazil”

&browser={{DATA4}} — Token coming from LandingTrack Parameter on Traffic Sources: “chrome”

This way your advertiser will be getting all the information that you are getting from your traffic source for each click generated.

Ehow it looks then when I make visit? click_id=9820h87304jh40840&subid=01290&domain=unkown&app_name=com.facebook.katana&dev=nokia&geo=brazil&browser=chrome

We hope you it is a bit more clear now how Parameters and TOKENS work on a tracking system, and if you have more doubts you can always reach out to our team or… keep reading :)
